All about the trees! Many large trees, several flat out enormous trees, walk made from native Maine ledge stone (wicked hard stuff), and beautiful perennial beds. Our favorite is the children's garden featuring narrow spruce trees and large ornamental grasses, though the three 45' tall spruce are a close second!

New pool featuring over 2000 square feet of bluestone patio both around the pool itself and at the rear of the house. Custom bluestone coping including large cantilevered stones covering the retractable pool cover. Bluestone steppers in lawn and walk to drive, large salvaged granite stone retaining wall, many very large transplanted trees. Pool utilities were carefully sited and placed somewhat below grade to reduce their presence in the landscape.

What can you do with a nasty parking lot? Whole lot, it turns out. We took care of this planter for several years and were responsible design, sourcing, layout, implementation, and maintenance for all four seasons, including really fun Christmas displays! This bed definitely provides a good example of the color and texture that can be packed into small, very challenging spots. I’m particularly fond of the successful intermingling of trees, shrubs, perennial and annual materials. We provide similar seasonal displays at many client's homes. All good fun!

Another multi year project. The first year we developed the design for the entire property and planted out the back yard. Durring the install we added a large field stone walk through the garden and some enormous stepping stones at the back deck. The following year we re-installed the annuals and provided a maintenance plan. Third year saw us overseeing the vinyl fence install out front and planting out the front beds. Many small and medium sized trees were used to set the house apart in the development and provide both interest and privacy to the homeowners.

North Hampton complete landscape. The first year in, in late fall, we installed a brick walk to the front door and patio at the rear deck. The next spring we planted extensive foundation plantings around the house. The following spring we installed a large perennial garden, built around one large boulder and featuring several more we moved into place for texture and interest. The fourth year saw us installing a large woodland planting of some truly special rhododendrons. Will there be more? You can bet on it!

North Hampton NH residence gets new Goshen stone walkway and fresh foundation planting of azaleas and Japanese maples. Existing mature rhododendrons were salvaged in an area that will become a complete new garden within a season or two. Brick walk was salvaged for later use on the property. New walk constructed of stone quarried in western Mass known for its incredible sheen and tendonitis causing malleability. This job was a special joy for many reasons (tendonitis aside), the client is a close personal friend, the materials are among my favorite to work with, and the clean aesthetic is very much in our personal style.
